Canons crop factor is 1.6x, which is pretty substantial. The improvements in image quality from a full frame will be barely noticeable (if not unnoticeable) to most people, but being 1.6x more zoomed in to the wildlife/bird will be majorly noticeable. Take a look at the newer R10 and R7.
1. There is no adapter that lets you use a EF-S lens on an EF body without losing many of the advantages of gthe lens. The main problem is that the image the EF-S lens"projects" onto the sensor is too small and does not reach the edges of the large sensor in the full frame camera. BAK. Poorer EVF. An acceptable electronic viewfinder in the EOS R6 is not as good as its bigger brother, the EOS R5. Compared to the R5 the electronic viewfinder display on the R6 has lower resolution

Still Photo Cropping/Aspect Ratio. Normally with RF or EF lenses, images are captured at the sensor size of approx. 35.9×23.9 mm in full-frame shooting, but in cropped shooting, you can isolate and magnify the center of the image approx. 1.6× ( APS-C size) as if using a telephoto lens, or you can set an aspect ratio as needed before shooting.
This may be a good alternative, I feel that I am getting more focal range that I need most of the time with the 70-200 f4 lens. I also like that it would be an f2.8, I will look into this. Thanks, Ron
If the 5D Mark II’s view represented the full frame’s image, then the 7D would capture a much smaller image area. That’s where the 1.6 crop factor comes into play. The crop factor magnifies the lens’ focal length so a 35mm lens on the 7D captures the equivalent area of a 56mm lens on a full-frame sensor (35mm x 1.6 crop = 56mm lens Answer: The three photos were shot on the Hasselblad H6D medium format DSLR, Canon 80D crop sensor DSLR, and Canon 6D full frame DSLR, respectively.
