Changing difficulty does not impact achievements. I’ve been running a fresh campaign with custom difficulty (bannerlord with normal AI, reduced damage taken by player, and clan member death in battle disabled). I changed friendly troops received damage from realistic to 50% then back to realistic and have still been getting the achievements.
Mostly standard with some difficulty increases. I used to ramp the damage taken to 100%. But the game cheats with AI lords and their ability to recruit. My thought is that if I wipe out your 1500-man army during a siege, you shouldn't have a new 1,500-man army before I finish the siege at the castle you attacked me at the first time

Because when you fall into a battle involves hundreds of people fighting together, hit the bad guy in front of you hard and prey not be hit is the only thing you can do. I picked up bannerlord on freebooter after it was in EA about the 7th month and roughly 2 to 3 months later switched to Realistic. It is in fact the best. It is hard to get adept at, but is all the more rewarding for it. And it gives you the basics for multiplayer.

The configuration is saved in directory `(user directory)\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Configs\EnhancedMission\`. The main config is saved in file `MoreOptionsConfig.xml`. You can modify them manually, but if you edit it incorrectly or remove them, the configuration will be reset to default.
