Griffon is another pretty hard to get one, Griffon vs Skyscale, well both have their ups and downs, I will say I prefer Skyscale. If they can rush to SotO and unlock a Skyscale, if they go back to do PoF, complete it, then they'll get the option of a big quest to unlock a griffon.
Simply untrue. Skyscale provides much more control over your descent. The only thing skyscale can't do is plummet like glider or griffon. However,if you miss your mark with glider you can't just fly up a bit and try again like you can with skyscale. using updrafts and leylines to gain altitude much faster than a skyscale
Kirk Williford, Design Team: I'm super excited to discover all of the "Secrets" that the Wizard's Court have been hiding from us for so long, and being able to soar through the skies on my Skyscale whilst discovering all "of the Obscure" hidden goodies waiting to be found.
There are two meta in SoTO so you will have to use Skyscale to get around on each floating Island during at least one meta and the main Wizard Tower meta is the same where you are supposed to use mounts during different phase to avoid getting killed while ground are getting swarmed by Kryptis and large AoEs.
I assume I wasn't the only a bit distressed by the amount of stardust needed to complete all the weapon collections in Amnytas. Don't fret ! While events have their own additional benefits (exp, achievements and so on), eating magic orbs on skyscale is actually much more effective to get stardust quickly.
